Last month, I took a boat to Turtle Island. There used (be)a fishermen's town. Then it became an army base (军事基地). And now it is a (nature) park.
The boat went around the island before it stopped there. That gave me a chance to learn about (it) shape. I could see the turtle's head, back and tail. Near turtle's head, I saw the "Milky Sea". It is from the hot springs under the water.
From the boat, I also saw dolphins in the water. They (swim) next to the boat, and one came really close. I took some pictures of it. The dolphins were so funny.
On Turtle Island, I got the boat near the turtle's tail. Then, I walked to the (visit) center. I met my guide there and he showed me around. First, we visited the town's old temple. After that, the guide took me to some bunkers (地堡). Soldiers used to stay in them and watch for enemies (careful).
I wanted to climb Turtle Mountain, I didn't have time. I had to go back to the turtle's tail and get on the boat. I didn't regret it because I (go) to Turtle Island again. It is really a cool place to visit.
